Minister of Internal Affairs Patrick Dewael (VLD) wants the fancard out of the Belgian football. "Everyone should be able to come to any match at any time", he says.

"At the ticket office, people will have to chose then which team they will support."
Previously, Dewael also wanted to get rid of the fences between the tribunes and the playing field. The minister also wants to keep hooligans in check with more stewards, more cameras and more controls at the entrance of the stadium. All bad behaviour will be punished. On 28 May, the minister will propose all his ideas to the Profliga and the security services, according to Het Laatste Nieuws and the Belang van Limburg.
