Anderlecht management and the board have reacted furiously to the embarassing 4-0 defeat against Zulte. "I'm worried", said chairman Vanden Stock, "I'll talk to the players. The team were extremely bad and that hurts."

Manager Van Holsbeeck was also clear: "I have seen a very weak team. This defeat is unacceptable and we must take action so this will never happen again."

Coach Jacobs agreed: "I saw during the warm-up that many players weren't focused. At half time, I was angry and told the player to be more aggressive and play at a higher pace. Zulte played well on the counter-attack, but that was only because we allowed them to. I'll need more than 24 hours in a day to highlight what went wrong yesterday. I expect a reaction from my players."

And what about Frutos issue? "It's clear that he wasn't paying attention. I believe he's a bit scared after all the reactions on his press conference. But what I didn't like the most was the way he was whining to the referee, especially after he had already received a yellow card. That is just making things worse", Jacobs concluded.
