Fine for Frutos - Evaluation of the medical staff

The direction board fined Frutos after his statements about the medical staff. Manager Van Holsbeeck says this matter should have been dealt with internally. But he also announced that the medical staff will be evaluated.


"We understand Frutos' situation, but it's inappropriate to react like this. Therefore, we will give Frutos a fine", he explained.

It will probably a fine of 8.000 euro, or 20% of the striker's wage. Frutos accepts the punishment, but he also stated that he doesn't take his words back.

"But it's clear that we made mistakes too. Sometimes, our players have to rehabilitate twice as long than normal. So something must be wrong. If Frutos is now fit, we have to examine why we can't do what the doctors in Argentina accomplished", Van Holsbeeck concluded.
