10.000 fans welcome RSCA-players

The Anderlecht-players were welcomed by the fans as if they were real heroes. According to the policemen, 10.000 people were waiting for the players.


Lots of people stood there hours in advance, waiting to welcome their idols. At 22 pm, the buss with the players arrived at the Constant Vanden Stock stadium. "There are lots of people here", said chairman Vanden Stock. "I'm a bit afraid of it."

A few minutes later, everyone saw what they had been waiting for all the time. All the Anderlecht-players, with purple clothes, went to the stage with each a bottle of champagne in their hands, to spray it over the public. "This is an unbelievable experience", said the young Deschacht. "I hope this isn't the last time. It really thrills me, I can't describe it! Aruna is the big party animal, I hope he stays with us next season." And that was the start of an unbelievable party, that continued until the break of dawn.
