Anderlecht wasn't able to set the bad situation right in Borisov. They played 2-2 against BATE and even before the start of the European competition they are eliminated.

No Champions League, no UEFA cup. Anderlecht will have a lot less money this and the coming seasons. It seems obvious that some players will be sold. The sports and especially financial impact is heavy.

Paars-wit had to score two times against BATE, in the hope that they didn't score themselves. Anderlecht started offensive but after a quarter it got a cold shower through a goal of Gennadi Blizniuk. Fortunately five minutes later Lucas Biglia could bring, via a penalty, the score in balance: 1-1. Both Rnic and Juhasz got yellow from the Irish ref.

No substitutions during the halftime, just after ten minutes Suarez substituted Kanu. The Argentinian could give already after some minutes a good assist to Vlcek, unfortunately with no goal as result. After that Vleck got replaced by Chatelle.

However what happened in the match at home happened again. Rnic committed a Wasilewski'ke on a player of BATE and got it's 2nd yellow card. Anderlecht had to continue with ten. Ten minutes before the end Gillet headed just over the goal. To make matters worse BATE scored again via Rodionov: 2-1. But short afterwards there was back a bit the hope. Jan Polak scored 2-2. That was the final score and that way the early European elimination is a fact. Crisis in the Astridpark and with Anderlecht also Belgian football is getting deeper and deeper into the morass.
