Sonck: "I don't want to leave"

Wesley Sonck was very clear after his match with Ajax against some players from Morocco yesterday: "Anderlecht? I don't want to leave Ajax! There's no transfer to Brussels!"


Sonck gives three reasons why a transfer is unthinkable. "There is a big difference in what Ajax asks and what Anderlecht wants to give is just too big. Also my personal financial demands are too high for Anderlecht. The third reason is the most important one: I don't want to leave. I'm only one season here, my work isn't over yet. The more I'm here, the happier I feel, and I don't think Ajax wants me to leave."

Sonck started on the bench yesterday, and came in after the break. He played a great game, and scored a goal.
