Today, Anderlecht was honored by the city of Brussels for winning the Belgian Cup. Players and staff were received by Brussels' minister-president Picqué and the ministers Vanhengel and Cerexhe.

Charles Picqué was pleased with the fact that Anderlecht brought the Cup back to Brussels. "This way, Sporting helps the city of Brussels in developing a positive image abroad", Picqué said.

Secretary-general Philip Collin and manager Herman Van Holsbeeck thanked their hosts and handed over the ministers each a shirt with the signatures of the players on it. Collin also asked the Brussels Metropolitan Region once again for their support in the realization of a larger stadium.
