Besiktas, actually in third place of the Turkish championship, is offering a deal, where the Servian international could earn a salary twice as big as his current at Anderlecht. Anderlecht wants to negotiate, but demands at last 4 to 5 million € before selling their striker.

One of Jestrovic' managers is heading for Istanbul. There will be negotiations with Besiktascoach Mircea Lucescu and the president of the Turkish club. Besiktas, defeated in the first round of the Champions League and kicked out of the UEFA-cup by Valencia, wants to improve their attack with Jestrovic and also the Croatian striker Dado Prso (AS Monaco).

Jestrovic, becoming 28 soon and just having prolonged his deal with Anderlecht until 2007, reacts cool. "I am not hurried to leave RSCA," he says. "I feel good at this club. But if the offer is interesting for Anderlecht ánd me, wh not?"

So, it is now upon Besiktas to act: if Besiktas wants to pay an amount between 4 and 5 million €, it won't take very long for Jestrovic to reach a personal agreement. At the borders of the Bosphorus, he could double his salary for the next three years. The money for 'Jestrogoal' could be used for transferring two new players at the Constant Vanden Stockstadium. One of those two players will more then likely listen to the name of Mbo Mpenza.
