Van Damme: "Brugge didn't stand a chance"

Jelle Van Damme is playing an excellent season, and scored an important goal against Club Brugge. "Scoring in a game like this was a great moment" so Van Damme said after the match.


"It was my 6th goal of the season, but this one is pecial. It was a mental blow for Brugge, conseding a goal 10 minutes before the end of the first half".

"We have to hold on to the second place now, and win next week in Mons. We took advantage of the man more situation against Brugge. Club was never in the game and hardly created any chances. But that is also because of the way we played".

Van Damme celebrated his goal like Sterchele of Club Brugge always does. The attacker of Brugge was made a mockery by the Anderlecht-fans. "But he did that to himself, by the way he acted in the press" so said Van Damme.
