Reactions after the game

After the game against Brugge, all players were of course happy. The Mauves demonstrated and Brugge never had a chance. "It was easier than expected", said trainer Jacobs.


"We have to continue like this. We didn't score enough goals. We had more than 15 corner kicks and 17 attempts on goal. Our opponent didn't have a single chance nor a corner kick. I would also like to thank our fans, they were great!"

Jelle Van Damme was happy with his goal: "I jumped higher than Clement and was able to score with a header. It's a simple as that! But we surely overclassed Brugge today!"

Boussoufa didn't expect a red card for Karel Geraerts: "It was a harsh tackle. Certainly a nasty foul, but I expected a yellow card. Maybe red was a bit too severe. Unfortunate for him, but good for us."

Hassan: "I'll never forget this club. I had to start on the bench, even though it was my last game in the Vanden Stock Stadium. But it's normal, cause I returned from injury. I'd like to thank the fans. They'll remain in my heart for ever!"
