Van Holsbeeck: "What was Devroe thinking?"

The manager of Club Brugge, Luc Devroe, said after Club Brugge's game against Roeselare, that the referee was intentionally holding Brugge back. Herman Van Holsbeeck's reaction: "This is probably a strategie."


"Devroe normally thinks before speaking, but now, a week before the most important game of the season, he is creating tumult in the press. We have to think about what could be the reason for this", so said the manager in the newspapers.

"I really hope the referee won't be influenced by these remarks, but subconciously, he will think about it anyway. I really hope Anderlecht won't be the victim. We too are sometimes held back by the ref, but when we have a problem, we talk to the head of the board of the referees."
