Anderlecht's First Final of the New Century

With the 2-1 aggregate win over Germinal Beerschot, Anderlecht remains the only Belgian club with a chance for the double as it chases its first Belgian Cup since 1994 - it is the club's first visit to the final since 1997.


In its centenary, RSC Anderlecht has a chance to win its first Belgium Cup this century. They will be facing AA Gent, whose Cup drought goes 10 years longer than Anderlecht's, last winning it in 1984.

It will be only fitting for the Anderlecht fans that they celebrate the centenary of the creation of their club with at least one piece of silverware.
