Espanyol puts Deschacht's transfer on a hold

The Spanish club Espanyol Barcelona has put the transfer of Anderlecht’s Olivier Deschacht on a hold for a while. The club first wants to solve the crisis, because during the last month’s, they only obtained 9 points out of 36.




Just before the winter break, the club gave coach Ernesto Valverde a new contract, binding him longer to the club. But the president of the club has a reputation of quickly changing his mind, and since the results aren’t to good at the moment, it’s uncertain if the trainer will stay.

According to Belgian paper “Het Nieuwsblad” there is already a deal between Deschacht and Espanyol. The player himself is certain that the clubs will find an agreement soon.
