Gillet "Happy with goal after tough period"

With his third goal for Anderlecht, Guillaume Gillet gave his team the lead against Westerlo. "I played an ok match, and it felt good to score" so says Gillet. "Last week against Cercle, it just wasn't my day".



'After a few tougher matches, I'm beginning to play better again" so says Gillet in the Belgian paper "Het Nieuwsblad". "The coach asked me to play on the rightback position after the red card for De Man, a logical choice, I just did my best for the team."

"We played as a solid group and showed a lot of maturity, this is the way to go for us. We twice face Germinal Beerschot now. Two important, but totaly different games. We have to win in the competition to stay ahead of Brugge, and we also want to win the Cup."

"We are only interested in the Cup and the second place, wich gives us the opportunity to play champions League qualifying matches. Now that we posses the second place, we don't want to give it away."
