Anderlecht would like Hasi to be their new assistent coach for next season. Manager Van Holsbeeck isn't denying that any longer. "The choice is up to him. Either play footbal for another year, either come to Anderlecht."

The former Anderlecht player however is doubting. He still has a contract for 1 more year at Cercle Brugge. "I know that my coach Glenn De Boeck wants me to keep on playing for another season, and then join his staff", so says Hasi in the Belgian paper 'Sudpresse'.

"But I'm doubting. It's not sure that I will be able to keep on playing at high level for another season. I live at 200 kilometers from Bruges, and it happens that the day after a match, my whole body hurts. There is a time when you have to say that it has been enough."

But Besnik Hasi makes it clear that he hasn't been talking with anybody of Anderlecht about a possible function. "I recall that when I left the club, Roger Vanden Stock and Philippe Collin told me that there would always be a place for me at Anderlecht, but we never talked about it since."

Does the former player of Anderlecht think he is the right man for the job? "A good assistent must know the house and the mentality in the dressingroom, and must have played on a high level and know how to deal with pressure at key moments. I think I have al those qualities. Adding up that I speak 6 languages, have played for my country and have known several great trainers."
