Ahmed Hassan declared to the press a few days ago that he has a verbal agreement with Al-Ahly. The Egyptian will leave Anderlecht, but Herman Van Holsbeeck still wants to have a conversation with Hassan.

"This week, Hassan will be playing with Egypt against Argentina, but next week I want to talk to him", Van Holsbeeck said in "Het Laatste Nieuws". "He said that it's a verbal agreement. I know Ahmed a little bit. If a team promises him more money, he'll start to doubt."

Abdel Tantush, Hassan's interpreter, believes he knows why the midfielder wants to return to Egypt. "If Hassan returns to Egypt, it's because of private reasons," said Tantush, "because of his family and his business affairs. Personally, I think that he's returning to Egypt a little too soon. He is very professional, I don't think it'll be easy for him to get used to the Egyptian way of life again. I am convinced that Hassan could stay in Europe for two more years."
