Anderlecht was defeated by Bayern München tonight with 0-5. The Mauves didn't play that bad, but Bayern opened scoring after 10 minutes with a nice shot by Altintop. Chatelle came close to equalising, but his effort hit the post.

When Wasilewksi got red for two yellow cards, the Belgian champions didn't stand a chance anymore. Bayern controled the match and scored out of every chance they had, making most of the extra man advantage in the second half. Their strength in depth was shown when they had Klose and Ribery to call up from the bench; both would score the last two goals.

That way, the match ended on 0-5. It is Anderlecht's biggest home defeat in European competition.
